This is Third year the BD Alumni Association has bestowed the “Crosier Award”. The Crosier is a part of BD coat of arms and along with the Mitre and Cross are symbolic of the patron of the school, Bishop John B. David. It was also the name of the school yearbook and is a symbol in the Holy Cross Coat of Arms. This award truly represents the roots and the proud traditions of Bishop David and High School High Schools.
Previous honorees include: 2022-Marco Vazquez & 2023-Madison Hall
The award is presented to the graduating student whose persistence, dedication and perseverance reflect the motto of Bishop David High School

This year’s recipient of the Crosier Award has been active in many clubs and organizations including a member of National Honor Society, KUNA, KYA and Guild Council. The honoree has persevered through many obstacles and is always calm and cheerful. She is kind to all she meets and is mature beyond her years. She is dedicated and hard-working and will succeed in whatever endeavor she decides to take.

Men’s Challenge
July 1, 2023 to April 25, 2024
Holy Cross High School each year has a Men’s Challenge for all Bishop David and Holy Cross Men. The challenge is to increase participation and support to the Holy Cross Annual Fund. The Bishop David Alumni Association Inc. supports this challenge and encourages our alumni to participate. The Annual Fund is the most important fundraising priority as it is necessary to keep tuition increases reasonable. Your gift to this Challenge is a gift to Holy Cross to be utilized during the current year to bridge the gap between tuition and the total cost of educating Holy Cross students.
How is this different from giving to the Bishop David Alumni Association? The purpose of the BD Alumni Association is to provide financial assistance to families wishing a Catholic education for their children but are challenged by the cost and need assistance. We provide this assistance to Holy Cross and area Catholic elementary schools (Notre Dame, St. Paul and St. Andrews). So the answer is no difference. The Holy Cross Annual Fund helps keep the tuition affordable and the BD Tuition Assistance program helps families needing assistance meet the affordability gap.
The Bishop David Alumni Association wishes to further the Holy Cross Men’s Challenge by issuing our own challenge. We wish to track the gifts by class and crown a “Class Champion of Education”. All gifts to the HC Annual Fund received between July 1, 2023 and April 25, 2024 will be counted in this competition. Thank you to all those who have already made your gift to the 2023-24 Annual Fund and/or Bishop David Alumni Association Inc.
Join us in making this excellent, faith-based education possible for future generations by sending your gift today! You can give to this year’s Men’s Challenge by going to:

Great get together with the 76ers ( class of 1976 – Bishop David). Had a blast and hoping others can join next time!

BD Alumni-Class Agents Needed!
BD Alumni,
Now that we have created an BD Alumni Website we need your help now more than ever to help continue our growth and become a solid voice and contributor for Catholic Education in Southwest Jefferson County. Working together for success resonates loudly for our organization at this time.
There are 2746 BD graduates and we currently have contact information, including email on only 1131 (41%). Our goal is to be able to reach as many alumni on a regular and consistent basis as we possibly can. We can not do this unless we have updated and completed contact information of at least 95%. This is where you come in!
Please consider your service as a Class Agent to help us in achieving our goal. If you have been currently serving as a Class Agent Thank You for your service. If circumstances, at this time, do not allow you to continue in this role please provide the name of a classmate who can be contacted and request their help. If you would please send me your most current list I will ensure it is reviewed against our database and updated to be the most current list. If you would like to become a Class Agent and need our current list for your class, please contact me and I will ensure you get the list.
We are a Proud group of Brothers who have always helped one another and been there when needed and we need you NOW more than ever. With your help we will ensure the legacy of Catholic Education in SWJC and our own legacy as proud graduates of Bishop David HIgh School.
“Let Nothing Stop the Sons of David”-More important NOW than ever before!
